you are being bombarded with images and music from every direction, and with the advent of affordable quality home recording technology and sites like myspace and purevolume, it seems like everyone has a band.  and most of them suck royally.

we're here to help you sort through the mess and discover new music and art that will suit you.  you probably won't like everything you find here, and we're ok with that.  just so you know. 

thanks for listening, thanks for donating, and thanks for taking a shower this morning.  you were starting to stink a bit and it was becoming awkward.

DIY has become the battle cry for hundreds of independent musicians who distrust big labels and place a high value on artistic integrity. However, there is stiff competition for the ears of the listening public, and most independent musicians simply do not have the marketing clout of an international label. 

We at elephant hug think it's time to level the playing field.  We're taking DIY a step further to its logical extrapolation, what we call DIT - doing it together.  Each of us may have only a few hundred or a few thousand fans, but much like the cartoon shows of our childhood, combined we can be huge.
